Frequently Asked Questions
Can I come on my own?
I work with women individually for personal intimacy concerns.
For relationship concerns, I generally prefer to work with both partners together, so we can understand and address the patterns between you. We can discuss the best fit during your consultation.
What if talking about intimacy feels uncomfortable?
That is understandable. You do not need to share everything at once or have the perfect words. We can begin with what feels easiest to talk about and build comfort over time.
Can therapy help when sex is painful?
Therapy can support the emotional and relationship aspects of sexual pain, including worry, avoidance, and communication. Pain can also have physical causes, so medical evaluation is important. When appropriate, our work can take place alongside care from a medical professional or pelvic floor physical therapist.
Do we need to be in a crisis to begin couples therapy?
No. Couples may seek support for recurring conflict, emotional distance, intimacy concerns, or a wish to understand each other better. You can begin before concerns become overwhelming.
